Visitors can also take advantage of a quality food and beverage offer, based around concepts such as Le Champeaux, the contemporary brasserie of three Michelin star chef Alain Ducasse, and the Ma Cocotte Brasserie at Les Halles.
Westfield Forum des Halles is also a true leisure destination, boasting Europe’s busiest cinema, as well as public cultural spaces including a library, conservatory, swimming pool and hip-hop center.
Challenges
With the aim of making the most of the available spaces in the Westfield Forum des Halles shopping center, Zenpark took up the challenge based on several observations:
- A high number of parking spaces. The shopping center has 1,150 parking spaces divided between two parking lots.
- Unoccupied spaces outside of store opening hours. Many parking spaces remained unoccupied, particularly in the evenings and when the shopping center is closed.
- A significant financial cost linked to the under-utilization of spaces. Optimizing parking lot occupancy is a key factor in making the costs of building and managing and maintaining a commercial parking lot profitable.
Thanks to Zenpark Pro Share
Zenpark has set up the Share solution to market unoccupied shopping center parking spaces to the general public, dynamically according to needs and time slots, without disrupting the usual use of the parking lot by store customers.
- Offer available spaces to local residents and visitors. Parking spaces are accessible via the Zenpark mobile application and website. They are available for reservation or monthly rental to all motorists, whether they are shopping center customers or shopkeepers, local residents or simply looking for a place to park in the center of Paris.
- Generate additional revenue for the shopping center. By offering unoccupied spaces to Zenpark members on an hourly or monthly rental basis, Share has generated up to 365 euros in turnover per parking space per month.
- No installation or maintenance costs. The solution was installed in just a few hours, with no change to the usual parking lot access system. Zenpark’s teams are responsible for the maintenance of the facilities.
Results in some key figures
- 100 parking spaces are available to individuals and businesses on a monthly rental basis and on a rotational basis
- 365€ additional revenue generated per parking space per month
- 5,000 drivers have parked in the parking lot since the partnership began
The final word?
“I was delighted to work with Westfield Forum des Halles on this exciting project to create a shared parking lot for a shopping center. It enables us to meet both the challenges of managing unoccupied parking spaces and the parking issues that motorists can encounter” – Safaa Touil, Key Account Manager at Zenpark.
